Returning once again to Topanga Days, the bluegrass/roots group Murphy’s Flaw played with Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus in the Grammy Award-winning ‘Old Town Road’ music video and recently opened for the The Kingston Trio.
Featuring dazzling instrumental solos–fiddle, mandolin, dobro, guitar–and tight vocal harmonies, the Flaw’s repertoire includes bluegrass standards as well as tunes of the Beatles, Everly Brothers, Bob Dylan, Hank Williams, and Patsy Cline.
Local favorites in Topanga Canyon, the band played monthly at Froggy’s for several years. The group has also performed at The Getty Center and the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA).
Upcoming events include the West Hollywood Summer Music Festival at Plummer Park on July 19, 2020.
